Bag of Fun and a visit from Devin and Sarah

A kind man and his wife delivered this "bag of fun" from the Gabby Cause foundation. So so amazing. Loaded with games and toys even a dsi!  This brought a huge smile to Dane's face (he didn't have to fight the nausea for that one)

 Some fresh new jammies from the D Crew and all cleaned up!  Here is Dane getting his Chemo.

Dane woke up feeling good--yay!!  Mom gave him a sponge bath and got him smelling great!  Axe deodorant and orange lotion are fabulous.  Fresh breath even better!  After he was clean, I tried persuading him to have something to eat, but it was a no go!  Daner had a sweet couple come visit him from the Gabby Krause Foundation and deliver a "bag of fun," which made him SMILE!!  yay!  A smile!  This little girl, Gabby, had a backpack she would bring with her to the hospital to help her have some fun while she was receiving treatments.  She would share her games and toys with other patients.  Her wish was for every child would have their own bag of fun.  Adorable!  They deliver these bags weekly to pediatric cancer patients and children fighting other long term or life threatening illnesses!  This was such an amazing gift, it was a really nice backpack filled with games and toys.  Then he had some gifts which were behind his back, a Dsi--WOW!, a game for it and a fun textured coloring book.  Really cool.  The sweet lady that helped deliver kept telling her husband to give Dane the funny stuff, so out he pulled some goo in a jar.  Can you guess what it was?  (fart goo-haha, she thought it was the best stuff in the whole bag)  They were so kind to Dane and visited with him for awhile.  Daner started his chemo at noon and had his last dose ( for 6 hrs) of the terrible chemo called "the red devil."  It is really hard on the patients tummy!  He got a little sick when he got up to use the bathroom, this is when he tends to get sick- with movement, and layed still for the rest of the afternoon.  His Uncle and soon to be new aunt came and visited and brought big hugs from his family in Utah , it was a big sign with arms outstretched-adorable! They played 20 questions with him and he loved it!  They did the word pillow and beat the game twice!  Another proud moment for Daner!   We also had some visits from friends who delivered homemade space slime and homemade clay animations-too cool!  Nana came in the evening to stay the night with Daner so Mom and Dad could go home and be with the other kids together.  Daner was a little uneasy, but did fantastic and Nana was so cute with him.  They played 20 questions, talked, and watched tv.  He had a good night and didn't get sick- this was great!
